Super Eagles Legend’ Son, Sean Kanu, Signs First Career Pro Deal with Polish Club

Date:

 Sean Kanu, the 19-year-old son of legendary Super Eagles forward Kanu Nwankwo, has signed his first professional contract with Polish third-tier side Górnik Polkowice.

Sean, who previously honed his skills within Watford FC’s youth academy in England, is eager to carve out his own path in the football world.

His move to Górnik Polkowice signifies a pivotal step in his burgeoning career, with aspirations to emulate and perhaps surpass the illustrious achievements of his father, who starred for top European clubs such as Ajax, Arsenal, and Portsmouth.

The signing ceremony was attended by Sean’s mother, Amara Kanu, who expressed her pride and excitement on social media, stating;

“Congratulations, son, Sean Kanu. You have put in so much work and dedication to your craft, and I am so proud of you. More goals up in front.”

Górnik Polkowice, competing in Poland’s III Liga, is optimistic that Sean’s addition will bolster their attacking options. The club and its supporters are keen to witness how the young forward’s heritage and training translate into on-field performance.

This development not only adds a new chapter to the Kanu family’s football legacy but also highlights the global pathways available for emerging talents.
