Super Eagles forward, Simeon Nwankwo has said he remains grounded in spite of the meteoric rise in his club and International careers.
Simeon netted his first international goal for Nigeria in the friendly against Liberia on his third cap since his introduction to the team in May.
He was also a member of the Nigerian party to the FIFA World Cup in Russia, although as understudy to Odion Ighalo.
The Nigerian also has been on the upward trajectory with his club, Crotone, recently commanding regular first team place before the side’s relegation to the Serie B.
These progress in his career are humbling and ‘Simy’ said he embraces them, but isn’t allowing the hype get to his head.
