Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Leicester City in the team’s 4 – 3 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English premier League on Saturday. The Nigerian star played the entire duration of the match and was cautioned by referee Christopher Kavanagh in the 58th minute of the encounter.
Wilfred Ndidi’s club mate and fellow Super Eagles Kelechi Iheanacho stated from the bench and was introduced into the match in the 83rd minute for defender Danny Simpson but could not help his team get the needed points.

In Saturday’s final EPL match Nigerian international Alex Iwobi was a second half substitute as Arsenal defeated London rivals Chelsea 2 – 0 at the Emirates stadium to keep their top four hopes alive.

In the championship, Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo played all 90 minutes as Stoke City returned to winning ways beating Leeds United 2 – 1 at the Bet365 stadium. Stoke City had previously gone six games without a win in all competition.
Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru scored his first professional hatrick on Saturday in the Turkish Super Lig as Galatasaray walloped Ankaragucu 6 – 0 at the Turk Telecom stadium.
The Nigerian international has been instrumental for the Turkish club since joining on loan from English Premier League side Everton.
Nigerian international William Troost-Ekong was in the heart of the Udinese defense but was unable to help the team gain any point as they lost 2 – 1 at home to Parma in the Italian Serie A on Saturday.
Goals from Roberto Inglese and former Arsenal winger Gervinho was enough to hand Parma the valuable three points while Stephano Okaka scored Udinese’s only goal of the match.

Nigerian striker Simeon Nwankwo fired blanks as Crotone failed to get a win at home in the Italian Serie B against Cittadella despite playing 90 minutes. Simi as he is fondly called has been on the radar of some clubs in Europe with the transfer window currently open.
Nigeria U-23 star Sadiq Umar played 90 minutes for Perugia in the Italian Serie B but his failure to score saw his team fall at home to Brescia 2 – 0. Umar’s compatriot Michael Stephen also saw 90 minutes of action in the encounter. Umar is on loan from serie A giants Roma.
