Super Falcons Dismiss Juju Distraction, Trust in Faith for Victory Over Cameroon

Date:

Super Falcons midfielder, Deborah Abiodun, has shrugged off the attempted juju drama that unfolded during their Women’s Olympic football qualifier against Cameroon.

The Nigerian team secured a 1-0 victory in the crucial second leg, with a little distraction occurring at the start of the second half when a Cameroonian player tried to place a juju-like material at the Falcons’ goal post.

Abiodun, addressing the incident, emphasized the team’s focus and reliance on faith, stating, “We believe in God, and in God, we stand and put our trust. With God, all things are possible. So, we don’t care about the voodoo [juju].”

The Super Falcons’ unwavering faith helped them secure the win and advance in the Olympic qualification.
