Swansea City’s Nigerian-born striker, Tammy Abraham is happy to be back in training with Chelsea, and admits he would give his very best effort in order to seal a permanent stay at Stamford Bridge this season.
Haven been severally loaned out by The Blues over the recent past seasons, Tammy is now getting desperate to prove himself and believes the new gaffer, Maurizio Sarri is the right man to finally give him his breakthrough.
With that in mind, Tammy is now determined to grab his chances under Sarri, by making the best of any chance that comes his way during their pre-season tour of Australia.
Abraham returns to West London after a season loan with Swansea, after he had another huge impact as he did in the previous campaign in Bristol City, where he was voted their player of the season after scoring 23 goals.
Abraham has been with The Blues since 2004 and is now desperate to take his chance to impress Sarri, as he believes he has gained enough experience playing away on loan.
He added: “Growing up as a young kid playing for Chelsea, I’ve always wanted to make it to the top and just being out here with the first team in pre-season has given me a chance to prove myself.
“The reason I go out on loan is to get that experience so when I come back to Chelsea I can claim my position. I’ll do whatever it takes and just keep doing my best
“We started well and I started well myself. I think from there things just got complicated and hard for us. It was obviously learning another side to football.
“Not just going from the academy where you’re just winning, you’ve got to experience the other side as well and that gave me that experience.”
