Aston Villa striker, Tammy Abraham has attracted January transfer interest from Newcastle United.
Footballlive.ng reports that this means Newcastle have joined the race to sign the England international, who is on loan from Chelsea.
The 21-year-old striker is currently enjoying a fine loan spell with Villa, having scored 16 goals in the lower division English Championship this season.
Crystal Palace emerged earlier suitors for Tammy, with Newcastle now joining the queue, but Chelsea have an option to recall him in January.
However, The Blues are believed to be keen on sending him to another Premier League club, hence the entry of Newcastle to challenge Palace for Tammy’s signature.
The Magpies’ boss, Rafa Benitez is desperate for reinforcements, as he aims to help the club avoid relegation.
Newcastle are currently in 14th place, four points off the drop zone, but Benitez believes Tammy can help save his side.
