Aston Villa striker, Tammy Abraham has gained fresh words of praise from England ex-international, John Terry, who says the Nigerian-born lad is both passionate for action and hungry for goals.
Footballlive.ng can report that Terry, who played alongside Abraham at both Chelsea and Villa, said he always knew that the youngster would be a marvel to watch in years to come.
With Abraham now on fire with The Villans in the English Champions and wanted by several clubs during the January transfer window, ‘JT’ says the youngster is getting due reward for all his days of hard work.
Terry, who captained Chelsea and is now an assistant coach at Villa, said further that Abraham is disciplined on and off the pitch, as the striker will always take extra hours of training and watch what he does while away.
Abraham has helped Villa into the promotion play-off spot with 19 goals in 23 games, which puts him top of the Championship’s scorers’ log, and Terry is beaming with satisfaction that he saw it coming.
Terry recounted: “I know him very well and I used to play against him at Chelsea.
”You knew he was going to come over and put himself about and run the channels, score goals, be hungry and be passionate.
“Tam always posed a big threat and I knew he would go on to do well, which he is doing.”
