Go Round FC goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali is a doubt to face Rivers United though he made the match day squad for the game.
Nwabali collapsed on the pitch from exhaustion while celebrating the second goal against Nasarawa United on Thursday at the KrisDera Hotel Stadium.
He was rushed to the hospital and did not take part in Thursday’s training.
Former Akwa United goalkeeper, Victor Obiowo replaces Godwin Ameh in the team and may start ahead of Nwabali.
Ameh had come on as a substitute for Nwabali in the last Match Day fixture.
Captain of the side, Nelson Esor who returned from injury in the game against Nasarawa United is expected to start against Rivers United while Shadrack Oghale, scorer of the winning goal as a substitute may get to play from the beginning in Port Harcourt.
What the football writers say:
Ufuoma Egbamuno: “Dropping their first home points in over a year and following it up with a customary loss away from Omoku saw Go Round FC fall into the dreaded relegation zone. So the hard fought win over Nasarawa United was a much needed boost for the team.
“Facing neighbours, Rivers United for the first time in a Nigeria Professional Football League match is a fantastic opportunity for Go Round FC to garner their first point(s) away from home.
“Without the burden of a long road trip and the expected support of a higher percentage of the Port Harcourt fans who have shown a little resentment towards their rivals, Sunday’s clash is one Go Round FC cannot afford to pass off.”

*What the Manager says:*
Ngozi Elechi: “We didn’t come to the NPFL because of Rivers United. They are just like any other team. We approach every game as it comes and all we do is fight for points every time we play.
“I know the coach every well, I know his philosophy and how he will approach the game. And I have told my players not to think about Rivers United.
“Every one is talking about Rivers United and they are also talking about Go Round FC. We can beat Rivers United and then lose at home so let us approach every game the right way.”
Fisayo Dairo (Octopus Fiscosports)’s prediction
Go Round FC have not really understood playing away from home in the NPFL.
Although this is a derby, I still expect Rivers United, given their woes on the road to edge it. Only because it is in Port Harcourt and I guess they really want to win after last weekend’s draw against Enyimba
Prediction: Rivers United 1-0 Go Round FC
