FK Rijeka of Croatia attacker, Theophilus Solomon has given the Super Eagles a strong tip on how to get victory against Croatia, as he believes all the Nigerian players have to do is stop Real Madrid star, Luka Modric from shinning for the East European nation.
Solomon, who has been in Croatia since 2013, stressed that Modric is the Croatian team’s engine room, such that the squad will struggle once the former Tottenham Hotspur dazzler is stifled.
Both nations will lock horns in their opening Group D game in Kaliningrad, and Solomon believes the Eagles have enough in the team to contain them even though they have a star studded team on paper.
Solomon added: “Luka Modric is the heart and soul of the Croatian team, forget about Mateo Kovavic and Ivan Rakitic. They are not as influential as Modric. Modric brings them to life and the midfield is their strength.”
