Nigerian international and KRC Genk forward, Tolulope Arokodare, has reaffirmed his commitment to the club, despite ongoing transfer speculations.
Arokodare, who joined Genk in January of last year from Amiens, has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
However, speaking after Genk’s 4-1 victory over Club Brugge on Sunday, where he was among the goal scorers, the forward stated that he is focused on his current commitments and dismisses the rumors.
“Only players who retire really know when it’s their last match anywhere. As for me, I don’t think this was my last match for Genk,”
“There are still matches to come. Next week, we play against Beerschot, and I’m focused on that, not on the rumors. I have a contract with Genk, and I will respect that by doing my job.”
Arokodare’s comments come amid heightened speculation about his potential departure, but for now, the striker remains committed to Genk as they continue their campaign.
