The newly signed player of Lobi stars Samuel Mathias, the creative midfielder have succeeded to have scored three goals in four CAF Championship League matches for Lobi Stars Football Club of Markudi .

“I think i have started the year on a good note, i joined Lobi Stars ahead of this new season that is about to commence and i have scored three goals in four appearances in the CAF Champions League so far, though i missed the first preliminary CAF group match in Cameroon due to injury, but i was available for the return leg, which i played here in Enugu where i scored my first goal”.

“In second match of the CAF preliminary group stage with Gor Mahia of Kenya i scored the only goal in that 3-1 loss encounter and yesterday again i scored the winning goal against Mamelodi Sundown of South Africa”.

“I thank God for giving me the opportunity to score goals, i am so grateful for three goals in four CAF Championship league appearances, it’s a good feeling i must say.

“I am spurred to do more, and with such strides of achievement it has boasted my confidence level the more, because i know i have what it takes to score goals, i have done that before in my previous club El-kanemi Warriors, which two seasons ago i scored 16 goals in the league”.

“Scoring goals is not new for me, I’m just in the right frame of mind and i am enjoying my game and time in Lobi Stars”.
