Torino are set to sign Ola Aina on a permanent deal and Tuttosport has exclusively learned the details of the Nigeria International’s permanent transfer to the Serie A club.
It appears coach Walter Mazzarri is an admirer of the versatile player and has instructed the management of the club to sign Aina on a permanent deal at the end of the 2018/19 season.
Aina moved from Chelsea to Torino on loan last summer. The Serie A outfit have already paid €600,000 for the player’s season loan and are required to pay €10 million more to make the rock solid defender’s move permanent.
Granata are set to activate their option to buy Aina even if the clause included in the defender’s contract is not mandatory.
The club have a gentleman agreement with Chelsea which basically puts Torino in the condition of signing the player on a permanent deal provided that he proves to be fit during his loan spell at the club.
They believe that Aina can be a good addition to strengthen the team’s defence and the Granata are set to make his move permanent.
Aina has shone this season, scoring one and also producing an assist in 22 Serie A appearances for the Granata.
