Bursaspor of Turkey defender, William Troost-Ekong has declared that he and his teammates will quickly recover from last weekend’s loss to Fenerbahce and ensure they put their campaign back on track in the Turkish Super Lig.
Troost-Ekong admitted he was deeply disappointed to see his side lose 2-1, despite his goal putting them ahead, but added that the task on their mind now is to keep fighting in order to bounce back stronger.
The 23-year-old defender could not save The Green Crocodiles from defeat and expressed displeasure with Bursaspor’s 2-1 loss to Besiktas in Saturday’s Turkish Super lig fixture.
Dusko Tosic and Atiba Hutchinson found the target for the Vodafone Park outfit while Dzon Delarge’s goal was not enough for Paul Le Guen’s side.
The former Gent player, who featured for the full duration of the game, however, added that he and his teammates must pick up from their setbacks in the encounter.
The Holland-born former KAA Gent of Belgium stopper took to social media to disclose his targets for Bursaspor, and stressed that they cannot afford to allow last weekend’s loss dampen their morale so soon into the new season.
“Disappointed to lose but we keep fighting. Proud to wear the Bursaspor green against Besiktas,” Troost-Ekong tweeted.
