Following the official confirmation of his move to Udinese, central defender William Troost-Ekong has expressed his delight with his move to the Legea Serie A club.
He joined the club from Bursaspor in a deal reportedly worth €3.3m, making it a significant profit for the Turkish Super Lig team who signed the defender for a fee of €1m in 2017.
The former KAA Gent star travelled to Italy on Friday and tidied up loose ends before sealing his switch the Udine based outfit.
The defender who has previously played for Tottenham Hotspurs, Groningen, Dordrecht, and Haugesund wrote via Twitter, “Very happy to sign for @UdineseCalcio in the @SerieA !⚫️⚪️ #ForzaUdinese #AleUdin.”
Troost-Ekong, 24, has chalked up 24 senior caps for Nigeria and scored one goal which was against DR Congo in an international friendly match in May 2018.
