New arrival at Udinese of Italy, William Troost-Ekong is set to line out for the first time in Serie on Sunday, as he goes for his debut against AC Parma.
Though the match comes just three days after Troost-Ekong arrived in Udine from Bursaspor of Turkey, his club’s Spanish coach, Julio Velázquez norted that the Super Eagles defender is match fit andff in top form.
Velaquez noted that Troost-Ekong has already played this season with Bursaspor in the Turkish Super Lig, even getting to score a goal last weekend, and the gaffer affirmed that he will hand a debut to the Holland-born star in his side’s Serie A opener against Parma on Sunday.
Troost-Ekong scored his seventh career goal since turning professional against Fenerbahçe last weekend before heading to Italy to join his sixth professional club.
With that in view, the Udinese manager noted that Troost-Ekong is not lacking in fitness, as he had played for Bursaspor before completing his move on Friday to The Bianconeri Friulian.
Velázquez stated: “William Troost-Ekong is ready to go; he’s already played this season and scored too.”
