Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong has called on his teammates to learn from past mistakes as they prepare for their upcoming AFCON 2025 qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Speaking about the upcoming matches, Troost-Ekong said, “We will be more ready. Good teams face difficult moments.”
Troost-Ekong asked not to underestimate but respect Benin, especially with their former coach Gernot Rohr now leading the side.
“We also have to give respect to Benin and our old coach Gernot Rohr.”
He added, “We have to learn from those mistakes. It is not going to be easy in these two games against Benin and Rwanda, but I have a lot of belief in the team, and we are going to prepare the best way we can.”
The Super Eagles will face Benin on Saturday, followed by a game against Rwanda on Tuesday.
