Troost-Ekong: We’re Already On Road To Russia

Date:

Bursaspor of Turkey defender, William Troost-Ekong has added a prophetic angle to reactions from players in the Super Eagles’ camp, as the Holland-born stopper says he and his colleagues are already on the road to Russia.

Though the team’s camp opened in Uyo this week, ahead of their trip to Port Harcourt on Saturday to battle DR Congo on Monday, Troost-Ekong is looking beyond their preparations in Nigeria in expectation of what is to come.

He joined other players in camp to state their emotions about the Eagles’ reunion in Uyo, as they flooded Eagles social media to express their feelings after their first training session at Godswill Akpabio International Stadiumon Wednesday morning in preparation for the 2018 World Cup.

Majority of the seventeen players that participated in the session had complained that the weather was too hot but that did not prevent the players from putting in their best efforts.

Troost-Ekong stated : ”Good to be back home training with the @NGSuperEagles in Uyo. Feeling fit and ready for our road to Russia! #AkwaIbomBoy #Russia2018 ???????????????????????? .”.

Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho said on Twitter : ”First training section with the super eagles???????????????????? on the price”.

Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile commented : ”Go hard or Go harder! Quitting is not an option. #training #EUE3 #soareagles #supereagles”.

Assistant captain Eddy Onazi took to Instagram to share his thoughts, saying : ”Super eagles ???? of Nigeria ????????Let’s start the preparation. ????#9ja17”.
