Trost-Ekong Shows Nigerian Strikers How To Score

Date:

Bursaspor of Turkey defender, William Troost-Ekong showed the way strikers should go, as he scored a brilliant goal at the weekend, at the top of a handful of his compatriots that were also on target.

Troost-Ekong powered in a diving header off a corner kick and, though it came off a player of Fenerbahce before resting in the net, the Super Eagles stopper was credited with the goal.

However, Troost-Ekong’s goal was cancelled by a penalty from Giuliano before Souza put the home side ahead 30 minutes in the game, and the Super Eagles star ended losing 2-1 against Fenerbahce.

Nonetheless, Troost-Ekong expressed happiness after opening his season’s goal account in a game for which his compatriots, Abdullahi Shehu and Paschal Onyedika were not listed in Bursaspor’s squad that travelled to face the Yellow Canaries.
