Super Eagles right back Shehu Abdullahi has revealed that his team’s Turkish Super Lig clash against table toppers Istanbul Basaksehir on Saturday will be a tough one but he is certain the boys will do all it takes to get a positive result away from home.
The clash which is being termed battle of the unequals will see 14th placed Bursaspor take a trip away to the log leaders as they continue the fight to avoid the drop at the end of the season as they are just six points ahead of 18th placed Akhisar.
Should Bursaspor lose the game, the team is likely to fall to the 16th position if Fernabahce and Ankaragucu both get wins in their respective games as they are all on 24 points after 22 games.
Ahead of the game scheduled for 5 pm Nigerian time on Saturday, Abdullahi says the team’s major priority is to return with a positive result after 90 minutes. “We are up against Istanbul Basaksehir tomorrow, the league leader. Top game with our priority to come back home with positive result. Wishing our travelling fans safety. We’ll battle together at Istanbul!”
Bursaspor has won just four games this season out of 22 matches, drawing 12 times and losing on six occasions.
