Uche Agbo has not ruled Standard Liege out of the title race, despite their eight-point gap to Belgian Pro League leaders Genk.
Eight points separates fifth placed Standard Liege and leaders Genk this season, but Uche Agbo says past experience with the club has him convinced that this term will end differently.
“There are a huge amount of points, we are competing against some big opponents and I have no doubt that this club has the squad to do it,” the player told Footballlive.ng.
“It sounds crazy but I have no doubt about that. It does not depend on us, other results will have to help us, but we have the team to fight to the end and we are going to do that.
Standard Liege will face Royal Excel Mouscron this weekend in the top flight.
“Hopefully we will win against Royal Excel Mouscron and climb up further in the table. We want to continue to improve.”
