Former Super Eagles defender, Nduka Ugbade has predicted that the Nigerian team will get a 3-0 win against Libya in Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Although Ugbade, who is now an assistant coach in the under-17 national team, Golden Eaglets, admitted that it will be a very competitive match at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Ugbade enthused that the Eagles will be able to overcome all odds.
Ugbade said he is optimistic of victory for the Eagles, but earned that the Libyans will be tough to handle because they have a compact team that comprises several home-based players that have gelled together over time.
“I predict a 3-0 win for the Super Eagles on Saturday,” Ugbade opened up. “But that is not to suggest that it will be an easy match.
“It is going to be a very competitive match, because there Libyans know how to play as a team.
“They have many of their players playing in their local league, which means they will be hungry and determined.
“They will come with a mission to surprise Nigeria at our backyard, so we have to be on the watch.
“We must not underrate them, because they have players who have been together for a very long time.”
