Nigeria midfielder Ugonna Uzochukwu is overjoyed now that his one-year move to Omani side Al-Bashaer Club has been finalised.
Ugonna was officially unveiled on Wednesday much to the delight of the club management.
The 26-year-old midfielder has since admitted his relief at the move being finalised.
“Obviously I’m very happy that everything is finalised and I got announced as an Al-Bashaer Club,” the former Enugu Rangers star told Footballlive.ng.
“[I’m] really happy to be joining a great club like Al-Bashaer Club.
The former Chippa United and Olympique Club de Khouribga enforcer starred for Nigeria at the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa.
He helped the Super Eagles B team to a third-place finish after Nigeria beat Zimbabwe by a goal to nil. He has made 9 appearances, scoring 2 goals for the Nigeria national football team.
The deal was brokered by Heritage Soccer Agency, a football agency based in the United Kingdom.
