Umar Sadiq close to winning first Silverware with Rangers

Date:

Umar Sadiq started off the Bench for Rangers in their 3-1 win over Kilmarnock in the second round match of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday.

Sadiq, who is on loan from AS Roma, has made only one start in his four appearances for the Scottish Premier Club in all competitions.

On Sunday, He was a 79 minute sub for hat-trick hero Alfredo Morelos as Steven Gerrard continues on an impressive note in his role as Manager.

The Nigerian came close to scoring just before the end of regulation time, but failed to connect a well swung in cross.

Nonetheless, Rangers progress to the Quarter-final and will next face Ayr United. The tie will be played in the week of 25th-27th September.
