NFF President Amaju Pinnick has revealed an ambitious world cup target for the Super Falcons ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Pinnick revealed efforts are in place to ensure the FA h”exhausts every window of opportunity” for the Falcons to get adequate preparation for the tournament.
“We’re working already and We’ve approved certain things. We’re bringing in a European team to start their [Falcons] camping Campaign in January.
“We are going to exhaust every window of opportunity for them to up their ante in terms of preparation. We’re working religiously towards that.
“We don’t just want to go the World Cup this time, we want to surpass our last quarter-finals achievement that we had ages ago,” Pinnick quipped.
Nigeria has qualified for every edition of the World Cup finals, their best outing coming in 1999 when they reached the quarter-final.
