Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has won Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award.
Bundesliga announced Boniface win on Wednesday via X, stating, “Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface takes home the #BLRookie of the Season award from Sorare after making an instant impact in the Bundesliga — in which he won four Rookie of the Month trophies in a row. Congrats Victor!”
The 23-year-old Nigerian forward expressed his gratitude and dedicated the award to his supporters in a post on X shortly after the announcement: “9ja no dey carry last. Thank you, guys.”
Boniface edged out competitors Xavi Simons, Ian Maatsen, and Maximilian Beier to claim the individual accolade.
Boniface scored 13 goals and provided nine assists in 22 league games for Bayer Leverkusen.
