Victor Osimhen scores 10th league goal in Belgium, second in 2019

Nigerian international Victor Osimhen scored his second goal of 2019 but was unable to save his club Sporting Charleroi from falling to a superb performance by Yohan Boli who scored a hat-trick to hand Sint Truiden a 3 – 1 home win.

 

Sporting Charleroi’s form has dipped in the New Year winning just two games out of six losing twice with two draws and staying eight on the league table.

The home side took the lead in the game as early as the 4th minute with Yohan Boli scoring his first goal of the game before making it a brace in the 31st minute. Nigerian international Victor Osimhen scored his 10th goal of the campaign reducing the deficit in the 37th minute but Boli could not be stopped as he completed his hatrick in the 69th minute to hand his team the maximum three points.

Osimhen who is on loan from German side VFB Wolfsburg is Charleroi’s top goalscorer this season in the league on 10 goals.
