Orlando Pirates winger Vincent Pule has thrown a challenge to his Bafana Bafana colleagues to focus ahead of their Cameroon 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Saturday.
Pule included for a third time, after his last call-up was disrupted by injury, as he looks to earn the second senior international cap of his career.
The skillful lad has been impressive this season, netting five goals and three assists in 14 club appearances across all competitions for the Bucs.
“Nothing else matters but victory on Saturday. We look forward to the tough match against Nigeria,” Pule told his club’s website.
“Unlike the Seychelles, who were a closed book, Nigeria are the complete opposite of this. We know what to expect; this is a team that possesses a lot of quality.
“We have been working hard at training. I would say that the mood is fine and we are fully focused on the task that lies ahead.”
Saturday’s matchday5 game is a make or break affair for Bafana Bafana in Group E where Nigeria leads the table with 9 points followed by South Africa on 8 points.
The South Africa vs Nigeria game will be played at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
