Super Falcons interim boss, Justin Madugu, says Nigeria’s friendly matches against Cameroon are more than just games — they are crucial steps toward building a formidable squad for the 2024 WAFCON.
In an exclusive conversation with Brila.net, Madugu explained that the encounters will help the coaching crew evaluate player performances and team structure, ensuring the Super Falcons are on the right path in terms of cohesion and tactical readiness.
“You always crave for such opportunities and hoping that with more games like that you hope to assess your team and then see how far you have gone, areas that you need to see work on.”
“Areas of your strength and areas of your weaknesses and then to also assess the players and see who really fits into what you really want so that as you continue to prepare, get closer to the competition, you try and get those information to help you get a team that you feel can really make the country proud.”
The friendlies, scheduled for later this month, are expected to feature a blend of established names and emerging talents as Nigeria ramps up preparations for continental success.
