Wasiu Jimoh issues rallying call to FC Ifeanyi Ubah team-mates ahead of crunch battle with Katsina United

Date:

Utility player Wasiu Jimoh has issued a rallying call to his FC Ifeanyi Ubah team-mates ahead of their massive Nigeria Professional Football League game against Katsina United.

The former Flying Eagles ace has stressed just how big an opportunity this game represents to Ladan Bosso’s side.

He said in a chat with Footballlive.ng: “The importance of the game and what’s at the end of it is massive for everyone associated with it.

“It’s important we enjoy the occasion, but it’s more important that we do ourselves justice.”

However, Wasiu Jimoh is only too aware of the challenge the Anambra Warriors face against the Changi Boys.

An in-form frontline of Destiny Ashadi, Joshua Agboola and Tasiu Lawal is what they could be up against at Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium.

But Wasiu Jimoh, who scored a fantastic goal against Rivers United in a friendly match last weekend, believes his side will show no fear.

“If you look on paper at the players they have, they have got good players all over the pitch,” he admitted.

“But the one thing we do have is desire and commitment, and a team that’s desperate to do well and desperate to climb up the table.

“We have to be wary of a lot of their players, and I am sure we will be.

“They are obviously good, but I don’t think they are coming over here expecting an easy game by any stretch of the imagination.”
