They say the apple never falls far from the tree, and no aphorism could be truer in the case of Daniel Amokachi and his 22-year-old son Nazim.
Amokachi called time on his international career in 1998, but left a shoe too big to fill… well that’s until entered the Bull’s son.
The former Super Eagles forward shared a video of his son, Nazim, who plays for Finnish side JS Hercules; as a forward, showing the same qualities his father mesmerized fans with back in the day.
In the video posted on Twitter, Nazim picked the ball in his own half, beat a marker and raced to create space, he canceled the second opponent before letting rip a scorcher from 23 yards to score.
Amokachi, who is also Manager of the club, couldn’t have been prouder in that moment as his son scored a goal reminiscent of his World Cup strike against Greece in 1994.
He captioned Wednesday’s tweet: Nazim Amokachi On The Rise… Check Out The Beautiful Skills & Brilliant Finish, Proud Father I Am…
