Rwanda head coach, Torsten Spittler, has issued a stern warning, declaring his team fully prepared for their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON qualifier against the Super Eagles on Tuesday.
Following their dominant 3-0 win over Benin Republic in Uyo on Saturday, the Super Eagles will be looking to secure their second victory of the qualifiers when they face Rwanda at the Stade Amahoro in Kigali.
Meanwhile, Rwanda is coming off a 1-1 draw against Libya in their first match of the campaign.
Heading into this fixture, the Super Eagles carry momentum and are considered favourites due to the quality of their squad.
However, Spittler, speaking at the pre-match press conference, made it clear that his side will not be an easy opponent.
“We are in a good process and what we have done so far is promising,” said the German tactician.
“We know Nigeria is a big team with big names but I want to assure you that we are prepared and we are ready to show good football tomorrow.
A win for Rwanda could propel them to the top of Group D, while a victory for Nigeria would put them in a strong position to secure qualification for the tournament as early as October.
The stage is set for a tense and important showdown as both teams seek to strengthen their chances of advancing to the 2025 AFCON.
