Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has shared his thoughts on his team’s hard-fought 3-2 victory against Abia Warriors in the oriental derby clash.
The Flying Antelopes secured the win in an entertaining contest, maintaining their top position on the Nigeria Premier Football League table with 54 points from 30 games.
Despite the victory, Ilechukwu acknowledged that his team made mistakes during the match and missed opportunities to seal the game in the first half. However, he remains focused on addressing these errors and making necessary corrections before their upcoming fixture against continental side Rivers United.
“It was a good game, and the three points are crucial at this stage of the season,” Ilechukwu commented to the club’s media. “But we made a lot of errors and could have buried the game in the first half. We shall keep working on the noticed lapses to make necessary corrections before our next fixture.”
With a positive mindset going into the weekend’s encounter, Rangers aim to build on their recent victory and maintain their position at the top of the league table.
