Lobi Stars FC’s new acquisition, Samuel Mathias is eager to help his new team defeat Rangers International, thus win the Super Cup on Tuesday evening in Asaba, thereby start the chapter of his career on a winning note.
He told www.footballlive.ng, “We want to start the season by winning the Super Cup. We are very focused and ready because we have a continental match after the Super Cup and there is no better way to start the season and also prepare for that clash than by winning the Super Cup.”
On how he was settling into life in his new environment, Matthias said, “I am gradually settling down because joining Lobi Stars is more of coming back home for me because they are my State team.”
Samuel Mathias has been somewhat of a journey man having played for Kano Pillars, Gombe United and most recently El-kanemi Warriors before making the switch to Lobi Stars FC.
The former El-Kanemi man concluded by saying he joined Lobi Stars with the mindset of giving his absolute best to see the team achieve greatly both in the NPFL and also the CAF Champions League.
