“We will bounce back together stronger,” Rivers United Confirms

Rivers United remains confident in their quest to bounce back following a narrow loss against Sunshine Stars.

The Pride of Rivers experienced a setback, suffering a 1-0 defeat against the Owena Waves in Akure on Sunday.

This defeat marks the team’s fourth consecutive winless league game. Currently positioned 11th on the NPFL table with 41 points, Rivers United finds themselves 12 points adrift from a continental spot.

“We will bounce back together stronger,” the club on their official social media handle.

“Our recent results have been disappointing, but we are focused on regaining our rhythm and finishing the season on a high note,” expressed Coach Evan Ogenyi.

The NPFL side is gearing up to face Abia Warriors in their upcoming match in Umuahia on Wednesday.
