Atletico Madrid striker, Samu Omorodion has called off his potential transfer to Chelsea due to a disagreement over image rights, according to reports.
Chelsea had initially reached a €40 million (£34.5 million) deal with Atletico Madrid but negotiations broke down over the weekend as the two parties failed to agree on personal terms.
The 20-year-old striker found Chelsea’s demand and terms to purchase 50 percent of Omorodion’s image rights, disrespectful.
Omorodion opted to reject the move and has since decided to stay at Atletico Madrid.
Omorodion scored eight goals in 35 appearances in his loan spell at Alaves last season. He also clinched an Olympic gold medal with Spain this summer.
With Samu Omorodion off the table, Chelsea has shifted their focus to re-signing Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid, who had a brief loan spell at Stamford Bridge last year.
Felix is reportedly keen on a return after spending last season on loan at Barcelona, where he scored 10 goals in 44 appearances.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have signed and unveil Pedro Neto from Wolves on a 60m deal plus €3m add-on deal.
