Head coach of Wikki Tourists, Aliyu Zubair is delighted with his squad’s pre-season form, reports Footballlive.ng.
He expressed happiness over his team’s performance in their pre-season match against Plateau United on Tuesday.
The game ended 1-1 in Jos.
Speaking in an interview with Footballlive.ng, Zubair said that he was delighted with the team’s performance as it prepares for the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
“This match enabled us to try out the new players we signed, in general it was a good overall performance by the players as it gave them an opportunity to blend,” Aliyu Zubair mused to Footballlive.ng.
“We are working well and have responded brilliantly to the intense training programme.”
“I have found a motivated group of men who are eager to work and I have also had excellent feedback from the players.
“Our objectives for the new season? We want to play at the highest level in a championship which promises to be very competitive,” he added.
