Wilfred Ndidi reacts to Manchester United Defeat

Date:

A solid performance by Wilfred Ndidi in the heart of the midfield for Leicester City on opening game night was not enough to save the Foxes from defeat against Manchester United, but, the Nigeria international is confident the team will respond.

Ndidi played all 90 minutes on Friday night as Claude Puel’s men took the game to their more illustrious opponents.

The Nigerian midfielder was on of the game’s top performer, with a 6.87 rating, per WhoScore.

Cutting off play, linking teammates with long and short range passes, Ndidi showed even more improvement from last season when he won plaudits.

He tweeted after the game: We will bounce back ????????

Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw fired Man United ahead, but Leicester would get a consolation in added time from substitute, Jamie Vardy.

Next up for Ndidi and his mateys is a trip to the Saint Mary’s where they’ll face Southampton.
