Wilfred Ndidi Scores as Leicester City Cruise Past Rovers

Date:

Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, found the back of the net as Leicester City secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers on Monday night, advancing to the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The match saw Leicester’s new signing, Jordan Ayew, open the scoring with his first goal for the club in the 38th minute.

The Foxes extended their lead early in the second half when Stephy Mavididi converted a penalty after Ricardo Pereira was fouled in the box.

Wilfred Ndidi added the third goal, by beating his marker and slotting the ball past the goalkeeper, with Ayew providing the assist.

The rout was completed when Harry Winks unleashed a stunning strike, capping off the win and giving Steve Cooper his first victory of the season.
