Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong is on the verge of making a comeback after being sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
The Greek international player had surgery in February following an injury he sustained during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named Most Valuable Player (MVP).
The 30-year-old recently shared on Instagram that he has started light training and physical exercises, showing his determination and hard work to get back on the field.
Troost-Ekong is expected to return to action before the current season ends. Also, he is likely to be available for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin in June.
