Former Wigan Warriors star, Willie Isa has transitioned from rugby league to football, joining Chelsea FC as a player support and development officer.

The 36-year-old Samoan shocked the rugby world when he abruptly retired last month, despite signing a contract extension with Wigan.
Wigan Warriors initially stated he was leaving to “pursue a new opportunity,” which has now been revealed as a role at Stamford Bridge.
Isa’s New Role at Chelsea
He will work closely with Kevin Campello, Chelsea’s head of men’s operations and welfare.
His responsibilities will focus on player coordination, particularly around training and match days.
Chelsea is expanding its player support structure, and Isa’s experience in leadership and mentorship makes him a valuable addition.
