Xavier Amaechi Outshines Bukayo Saka

Date:

Arsenal of England youth team player, Xavier Amaechi showed that he also has a lot to show for The Gunners’ future, as he outshone new kid on the block, Bukayo Saka in their latest youth league match.

Footballlive.ng can report that while Saka could not compliment his bold efforts down the left-flank with a goal, Amaechi got one and an assist in a 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove in an English Premier League 2 fixture.

Amaechi shook off his recent battles with injury to put up a five-star performance at People’s Pension Stadium on Monday night.

It was Amaechi’s first start for The Gunners since August 31, as injury kept him on the sidelines for about three months, but he showed no complexes down the right wing, while Joseph Olowu starred in defence.

Amaechi gave Arsenal a 43rd minute lead, courtesy a brilliant solo run by Saka from his own half, then gave the assist for super-sub, Gedion Zelalem’s 86th minute equaliser and shared points by both sides.
