Yisa Anifowoshe: Girabola dusted, Champions League to follow

Date:

Yisa Anifowoshe who recently help his Angolan side Club Deportivo Primeiro de Agosto to win the Girabola was filled with joy to have achieved such feat in his very first season with the modest side.

“I am very excited winning my very first professional trophy ever with Primeiro de Agosto, the joy is immeasurable I must confess,” the central defender told Footballlive.ng.

“It wasn’t easy winning the league as many will think but we will have to give God the praise for such a feat”.

Having being paired with former CAF Champions League winners TP Mazembe of Congo in the quarter finals of the CCL, the former MFM of Lagos player disclosed that his team is ready to face anyone.

“One down, one to go,” he posited.

“I personally think Primeiro de Agosto has in its armoury enough arsenal to annihilate any side that comes its way as we just won the domestic league and our next target is to win the most prestigious tournament on the continent God’s willing.

“We are not taking anything away from the Congolese side but we sure have enough to scale through the huddle.”

On his ambition if his side eventually conquers Africa, he said, “It will definitely be a dream come true winning the CAF Champions League and after that we all know football is business, Europe will be my next destination.

Primeiro de Agosto have three Nigerians in their books.

They are Razaq Adegbite, Ibukun Akinfenwa and Yisa Anifowoshe.
