“Hello…This is Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Galaxy…”
Imagine being a LA Galaxy fan and hearing that as you pick up the phone.
Well, a couple of lucky season ticket holders did get a call from the man himself.
Ibrahimovic left Europe to join the California-based MLS outfit in March, and he’s enjoyed a blistering start to life in the States by bagging an impressive 16 league goals from 20 games.
And with LA Galaxy Memberships for 2019 available, the Swedish hero personally rang up a few of the clubs members in brilliant scenes.
As well as phone calls, LA Galaxy sent an outstanding email regarding renewal.
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic has commented on his former club, Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho has come under intense scrutiny following his start in the Premier League season, which includes back-to-back defeats to Brighton then Spurs.
“It has come out in the media that coaches have problems my character. That is not true, I will tell you now,” Ibrahimovic said via ESPN.
“I didn’t have problems with any coach. If there was a problem, it was the coaches and I didn’t know about it.
“I had Mourinho. Everybody knows that he is for discipline and respect – and that is on a high level.”
Ibrahimovic added: “He doesn’t accept anything and I didn’t have one problem with him.
“I’m not here to give problems – and I didn’t have problems anywhere.
“When I was in Barcelona, I resolved the problem by saying to [Pep Guardiola] ‘No problem. You have a problem but I will resolve it. I will leave’.”
