The Craven Cottage was treated a spectacular performance as Fulham hosted Brighton, and the home side took care of business in simple fashion. Fulham followed up their massive win at Old Trafford with another 3-0 drubbing of Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
Brighton controlled a majority of the proceedings with 71% ball possession, but the game was one decided by fine margins. Harry Wilson with a goal and assist in just over 10 minutes of play as Fulham raced to a 2-0 lead in the 21st and 32nd minute.
The second 45 was similar to the first as Brighton enjoyed a giant slice of the possession, but the seagulls could not make anything major of it. With the game running out and just 4 minutes of stoppage time to play, Bobby DeCordova Reid creating for Adama Traore to seal the points at home.
Calvin Bassey put himself on the line on multiple occasions, with three clearances to his name as a testament to a mammoth effort to keep it clean at the back. Fellow Nigerian, Alex Iwobi also put in a shift with intriguing passes and accurate long balls, helping his team out in his 69 minutes of play.
Fulham still sit 12th with 35 points in 27 games played, and they now have 3 wins in their last 4 games. The Cottagers will now travel to the Molineaux to face Wolves in their next game.
