Italy-based youngster, King Udoh has finally sealed a deal that takes him away from Juventus to third tier side, Viareggio 2014.
After several months of speculation over his future, footballlive.ng gathered that Udoh settled for a deal in the third echelon of Italian football in order to avoid pressure in rebuilding his career.
Consequently, Udoh has ended his seven-year association with Juventus after joining Viareggio in Serie D, where he hopes to help the club climb up the ranks of Italian football.
It might, however, be a tough task for him, as Viareggio lost 2-0 to San Donato Tavarnelle in their opening match of the season, and travel to Ghivizzano Borgo Mozzano this Sunday.
The 21-year-old Udoh, who was born in Reggio Emilia and began his career at Reggiana before switching to the Bianconeri in 2011, departs Turin without making his debut for Juventus.
Udoh’s future had always been subject of speculation in the summer window, with reports linking him with moves to clubs in Ukraine, Luxembourg and Portugal but he opted to stay in Italy.
The attacker, who last season played for Fermana and Fano, after spending time on loan at Pontedera and Lanciano during his time at Juve, has again chosen a lower team to enable him play on a regular basis after failing to break into The Old Lady’s first team, despite hitting 13 goals in 38 appearances for their youth squad.
