Super Eagles Zoom Off To Tunisia On Monday

The Super Eagles are billed to fly out to Sfax, Tunisia on Monday, ahead of their reverse fixture against Libya in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Information reaching footballlive.ng indicates that Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have finalised plans to ensure the Eagles are airlifted aboard a chartered flight two days after the first leg in Uyo.

The Eagles will now fly to Sfax, Tunisia via a chartered flight on Monday, October 15 for the game billed to hold next Tuesday, October 16.

The first leg of the double header will hold at Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo this Saturday, October 13, with the return clash in Libya’s adopted home three days later.

In order to prepare adequately for that clash, the Eagles are expected to relocate to Abuja after Saturday’s game, from where they will head of to Sfax, where Libya will host Nigeria at 18,000-capacity Stade Taïeb Mhiri.

The Eagles’ 24 invited players for both matches started arriving in their camp at Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo on Monday.

Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr will begin to observe the team fully on Tuesday when he has his full squad in camp.
The North Africans lead Group E of the qualifiers with four points ahead Eagles, who have three points, gained from a 3-0 win away to Seychelles, after losing their opening game 2-0 at home against South Africa.
