Former Akwa United of Uyo striker, Okechukwu Gabriel will not be in the squad of Wydad Casablanca of Morocco that will tango Lobi Stars of Makurdi in the CAF Champions League, as he is set to leave on loan.
Footballlive.ng gathered that, in contrast with a showdown between the ex-home-based Eagles striker and Lobi in the elite clubs’ competition next month, Okechukwu is now set to ply his trade outside Morocco.
This is sequel to a shock decision taken by the technical crew of Wydad Athletic Club (WAC), based on observation that Gabriel has struggled to impress in his first few months at the club.
It was gathered further that, though Gabriel still has over three seasons left on his contract with the Casablanca-based club, his agent is already in seeking for him a six-month loan deal at CRB Belouizdad of Algeria.
