Abia Warriors declare Adebayo AWOL

Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has declared one of its reliable defenders, Abiodun Adebayo AWOL.

 

The club’s Management took the decision after a meeting in Umuahia.

Management regretted that Adebayo has not been seen in Umuahia two weeks after the team resumed training following a three-week break.

In a statement, management lamented that the former Niger Tornadoes of Minna centre half absented himself without any excuse or permission describing this as unprofessional.

“Abia Warriors frown at such an unprofessional attitude”, the statement said.

The statement directed him to return to Umuahia immediately or face drastic action.

Abia Warriors reminded any club fraternising with the player that he is still under a valid contract with the club, adding that keeping him elsewhere without any formal discussion runs counter to the rules governing professional football.
