Abia Warriors in high spirit for Sunshine Stars

Date:

Ahead of their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 25 clash with Sunshine Stars of Akure, Abia Warriors are in high spirit and remain focused, as confirmed by Assistant coach Patrick Ngwaogwu.

It was a full house at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Wednesday following resumption from the World Cup break.

“The squad is in good spirit and remain focused. It’s always difficult to recover fully after a brief holiday due to the World Cup.

“The technical crew have done well to prepare the boys for the task that lies ahead. I must commend the players. They were all professionals at training,” Ngwaogwu said.

“Their fitness level is very high, their form is intact. I can confidently declare our readiness for the final but tough stretch of the top flight campaign.

It was all smiles for the Umuahia Warriors as Chairman of the team, High Chief Emeka Inyama motivated them with payment of some of their match bonuses.

“The Chairman who is a man with few words but more action motivated the players for the task ahead by paying them some of their match bonuses. They all approached the training drills with positive mindset,” the veteran journalist continued.

“The spirit in camp is very high, and the players are ready to take the matches as they come,” he concluded.

Abia Warriors will trade tackles with Sunshine Stars at the Ondo Sports Complex on Wednesday 18th July 2018.
