Abia Warriors in the fight for the title

Date:

Eugene Ossy was left energised by Abia Warriors’ 2-0 win over Akwa Starlets in a friendly on Sunday.

Goals from Ossy and Ndifreke Effiong fired Warriors to a deserved victory at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

The Umuahia side sit nine points adrift leaders Lobi Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

“The line between success and failure is very thin. There are a lot of direct confrontations. I think the fight will be to the end,” mused Ossy in an interview with Footballlive.ng .

“The team exudes a good feeling. But we must fight, work and remain optimistic. We must ensure points at home and keep adding away. We’re going to be in the fight until the end.
“The team is good, in the fight and in contention. If we want to win the title then we cannot lose any more matches.
